The answer was the four-wheel-drive Willys MB and Ford GPW - both commonly known as ‘jeeps’. Over half a million would be produced, seeing service all over the world. In many cases, they would be armed with either a .30cal or .50cal machine gun, allowing them to provide mobile fire support to US troops. This set gives you a trio of armed jeeps for your US forces - two with .30cal Medium Machine Guns, and one with a .50cal Heavy Machine Gun - allowing you to form an Armoured Platoon of these lightweight fighting vehicles.
