Through the use of Dual core technology and Active Power V-lock walk mechanism, you still achieve the same power, elasticity, and progressive flex as you would from an alpine boot, though with a much lighter shell. The range of motion achievable when traveling uphill is unparalleled, thanks to the V-lock mechanism. Utilizing a small piece of plastic that moves upwards when in walk mode, you get 53 degrees of motion when gliding up the skin track and the same connection as an alpine boot on the downhill.
